Make a Classroom Photo-Sharing Site!

There are so many online photo-sharing sites, and you may be comfortable with a specific site, such as Flickr, Snapfish, Photobucket, or Kodak Gallery (to name a few). For classroom purposes, however, Shutterfly has recently developed a "share site" feature that has many advantages:
  • Can password protect so only users with the password can even view pictures.
  • Has look and feel of a dynamic Web site.
  • Can add members, who can upload additional photos (i.e. parents who took pictures at events or field trips.)
  • One of the few photo-storage/sharing sites that allows videos, too.
  • Can add features such as message boards, comments, and links.
1. If you do not already have one, create an absolutely FREE Shutterfly account!

2. Once you have an account, sign in and click on the SHARE button across the top of the page to get started on creating a Share Site.

3. Click on the "create a site" button.

4. This is what you'll see when you click on the "get started" button. Again, it lists the many features.

5. First of all, select a template.
